Shawn Gupta focuses his legal practice in the areas of estate planning and estate administration. He has worked in these fields almost exclusively since 2007. Shawn was born November 21, 1980 and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He graduated from the University of Dayton in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration where he majored in Management Information Systems. Mr. Gupta received his law degree from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law in 2006. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2007 and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 2009. Mr. Gupta earned his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from Capital University Law School in 2009 where he tailored his curriculum around advanced estate planning. While in law school, Mr. Gupta participated in the Moritz College of Law’s Summer Law Program and studied at St. Anne’s College at Oxford University.
During law school, he worked for the law firm of Arnold, Todaro & Welch as well as the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. While obtaining his masters degree, Mr. Gupta worked for The Ohio State University Office of Planned Giving where he assisted donors in giving to the university through carefully prepared estate planning. Prior to establishing the Gupta Law Firm, LLC, Shawn worked at The Zimmer Law Firm, where he specialized in estate planning and estate administration. Before this, Mr. Gupta worked for the law firm of Dysinger & Associates where he also worked in the areas of estate planning and estate administration. Mr. Gupta is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association, and Clermont Bar Association.
